Q. How does Networkcar work?

A. Networkcar connects to your vehicle’s computer and sends information about your
vehicle’s performance and location through a wireless network to a fleet website.
Networkcar uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) and patented diagnostics technology.

Q. Do I need special software?

A. No. You simply need Internet access to login to Networkcar’s online fleet management system.

Q. Is Networkcar compatible with all vehicles, including heavy trucks?

A. Networkcar can be installed on 1996 and newer cars/light trucks as well as 1988 and newer heavy trucks.

Q. How much does Networkcar for Business cost?

A. Networkcar’s hardware pricing is based on volume and the service is economically priced at $15 per month.

Q. Does my Networkcar system have a warranty?

A. Yes. Networkcar will either replace or repair the Networkcar System installed in your vehicle if the
system proves to be defective in material or workmanship within one (1) year from the date of installation.

Q. Does my Networkcar system need maintenance?

A. No. There is no need to have contact with the system after it has been installed.

Hardware and Installation Questions

Q. What hardware is required?

A. The Networkcar unit (about the size of a small PDA) includes both a GPS and
wireless data antenna. The system can easily be installed completely hidden from view.

Q. How difficult is it to install Networkcar?

A. Installation is relatively easy and takes approximately 30 minutes. No wire-splicing is required.

GPS/Location Questions

Q. What is Networkcar’s wireless coverage area?

A. Networkcar works nationwide by using the Cingular Mobitex network. This network has excellent
coverage in over 95% of major metropolitan areas.

Q. What happens if I drive in an area that has poor wireless coverage?

A. The Networkcar unit continues to collect and store information even if you are driving in an area that
does not have wireless coverage. The unit then transmits this data when the vehicle comes back into
the wireless coverage area. The online map will show the recorded path and stops in all areas,
whether they were in or out of wireless coverage.

Q. How often does the Networkcar unit transmit location information?

A. The unit transmits its location in 2-minute intervals.

Q. Can I have more that one user access my fleet?

A. Yes, additional user accounts can be created on your account with no additional fees.

Q. How often can I access the location of my fleet?

A. As often as you like. Unlike other companies, we allow unlimited access to your fleet’s
location with no hidden fees.
